A Life Restored
A former student from our program, Rogen is now thriving in his life! Transformations like this are made possible with your generosity!
Read his life update, in his words:
The Lord has blessed me more than I deserve. Since turning my life over to Christ, making sure to put Him first in everything I do, my life has meaning again and a sense of peace and my relationship with my son is stronger than it has ever been.
I accepted a position in July 2021, with a network engineering company that allows me to travel all over the country. I’m visiting places I always wanted to see! I feel as if the Lord is showing me what I missed while in my addiction. I have a passion for my work so I can truly say I’m living the dream.
I have a home in Bowling Green, KY so I am only thirty minutes from my son, Ethan. He just turned 16 and has a girlfriend, named Mataya. Every time I come home from a business trip, he stays with me and we spend a lot of time playing chess, basketball, and watching movies.
I have started raising my son to be a strong Christian young man. Often, our conversations refer back to a scripture from the Bible to convey a point. My Bible is always out and available at home when a teachable moment arises and when I, myself, need some uplifting.
I have a church home and people I can count on. Recently, a tornado came through KY and destroyed my home. But, by remaining patient and thru prayer, the Lord provided me with a larger new home within days and my church friends were there to help me move.
The Lord has remained by my side since starting my new life outside of The Compassion Center. He continues to bless me each day. Instead of living in fear and shame, I have a life filled with hope, peace, character, and integrity. Thank You, Lord, for giving me my life back and for guiding me to The Compassion Center where I learned how to live again!
